Lost Track of Days, but Not Weight

Yeah! I'm down to 184. That's 10 pounds, and that's exciting. I've lost around 5% of my body weight, and it is noticeable, at least to me. I'm able to fit into clothes I haven't fit into for a long while, and I think I look great. I think it will take another 10 pounds for people to notice, but that's OK.

What's even more exciting is that I've joined a health competition at work. Our team is TOTALLY going to win!

On a sad note, one of my boys is sick today. It is hard not to snack when I'm not active. I want to do laundry, but I need to stay close to him to make sure he is OK (and close to his drink and chicken nuggets and fruit roll-ups). Ah, temptation.

Day 4, Many more.

I'm down to 187.6 lbs today. I've been excercising 30+ minutes per day on the eliptical.

This is the easy part. When you cut calories and excercise and see the weight go down, it feels great. When you cut calories and see the weight go up, it feels terrible. That's what is so frustrating to me. Trying really hard and failing. Besides, that's the time you need the most encouragement and get the least.

Today's meals:
Breakfast-Peas and water
Lunch-Burger and salad and water
Snack-2 cookies and 1/2 cup lemonade
Dinner-Pancakes and squash and soy milk

Today is Day One

I've battled weight for the last 15 years, and I'm not alone. I know that many of you have battled it too. Today I'm going to war, and I'm determined to win. My health is poor and I really hope that by losing weight it will improve.

So, this morning I weighed 194 lbs.

Today I ate:
Breakfast-five mini pancakes
Snack-strawberry yogurt
Lunch-chicken sweet and sour and crab rangoon
Snack-cereal
Dinner-Four chicken nuggets and salad

I REALLY TRIED to go to the 6:30 pm excercise class. I was 10 minutes late and they wouldn't let me join. I'm going to get on the eliptical.

Medicine I took today: trileptal (for seizures), orlistat (for weight loss), some kind of antibiotic for acne, and Proactive (does that count?)

Please help with words of wisdom.
